Samator Held Pubex 2024: Introducing Hydrogen Plant in Batam to Support Ongoing Energy Transition in Indonesia

Surabaya, 19 December 2024 - PT Samator Indo Gas Tbk ("the Company") held its Annual Public Expose (Pubex) on Thursday (19/12) at Novotel Samator Surabaya Timur. Attended by Imelda Harsono, Nini Liemijanto, and Budi Susanto as Directors and other Board of Directors, the Pubex aims to provide an overview of the Company's year-to-date performance until 30 September 2024 and introduce the 57th plant in Batam, Riau Islands as a hydrogen plant that supports Indonesia's low carbon energy transition.
The Company’s Director, Imelda Harsono explained that “Samator recorded consistent positive performance amidst industry dynamics. The Company's total sales as of 9M2024 was IDR 2.1 trillion and net profit was IDR 85.8 billion. With this we experienced a growth of 2.8% compared to the same period last year, with major contributions from the healthcare and infrastructure sectors. Revenue contribution
from the infrastructure sector also showed an increase in line with the increasing activity in the construction sector.”
Following the successful inauguration of the 56th plant in Batang Integrated Industrial Estate on 30 September 2024, the 16,800 sqm 57th plant in Batam has also been operational since October which is Samator's hydrogen plant. The 57th plant in Batam, capable of producing up to 60 Nm³ per hour of hydrogen, is a strategic move that supports the company's financial growth while contributing to the national clean energy transition. Produced through water electrolysis technology, it produces low-carbon hydrogen and emphasises Samator's important role and commitment in supporting Indonesia's energy transition.
